3PM UK/ 10AM ET-WHAT: On 20th October, the Advocate General of the ECJ is due to deliver a (non-binding) opinion on how the ECJ should rule in the Hutchison/ O2 appeal, which could have a material bearing on the process for future attempts at 4-3 consolidation in the sector. In the majority of cases, the ECJ follows the Advocate General advice and we then expect an official ECJ ruling in mid-December.
