# CLIENT CALL INVITE # STARLINK MOBILE AND META MUSE RISK IN EM

Why? Following our regional deep dives on LatAm, Asia and Africa (see links below), Starlink Mobile remains the number 1 question in client calls and meetings, now joined by the Meta Muse risk. Our work suggests both risks are overstated for most of EM. We see no evidence Starlink wants to be a terrestrial MNO outside the US: it passed on AT&T Mexico and hasn’t taken part in any spectrum awards in EM. Routes in vary sharply by region – LatAm is the most accessible but small, Asia is largely closed outside Australia and Malaysia, and Africa offers no easy entry, making D2D partnerships the logical strategy. On Muse, lower postpaid exposure, inflationary pricing and narrower price gaps, as well as EM-specific friction such as biometric sign-ups leave EM roughly half as exposed as the US, with Liberty Puerto Rico, AMX and KDDI most at risk. The call will cover a small number of key slides on each, followed by Q&A.
